how do u say "Hi"?

Mostly, people wave (mildly) at ya and say, "Hi!" or "Hi.". Some just grin or smile or nod e japanese nod.

Not for Rachel. She wandered into the room & saw me. Immediately, she hastened her pace, as though she has made a wonderful discovery in the room, sat down next to me (I was sitting on the floor), wrapped her hands around my arm and said, "hi..."

Warmed. Loved.

Some "Hi" indicate the "beginning" of a time 2 or more will spend togather or is it a brief courteous act?

Rachel's "Hi" simply says "I'm so glad u're here. I'm so happy that I'm here with you".

CouRage

CouRage is nOt in the absence of fear.
it is going through it all,
despite of it all,
knowing that God will be with me - surely - thrOugh it all.

i'll enter this Job with THanksGiving in my heart and will enter into it with JOY!

God said to Joshua - 3 times! - "Be strong and courageous!"
So will i! so WILL I! so Muz I!

Last nite, the realization of reality - change in work environment + the quick ending of my current project - suddenly just overwhelmed me. My heart was heavy. Yet, as i stood by the window praying, a cool breeze blew onto my chest.

& that cool breeze blew away the heaviness in my heart. Just like that!!

My God, my King!

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter His courts with PRAISE!

My God & King

My God and King
to You alone I sing
You're the face I seek
For all eternity

You'd be my dream come true
Just to be with You
How I'd see brand new
With eyes for only You

My God and King
Through the storm I sing
Covered by Your wing
This song of love I bring

You are my dream come true
Just to be with You
Now I see brand new
With eyes for only You

I hope
that this will truly beCome my heartcry for this year.

My hope & joy comes from none other but my King!

A change in job environment for me, yet again. I have a feeling that God knows me best. Though i dun really know what i want or what i am best at, but my Abba Papa knows. He knows what will work well for me.

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you. (2 Corinthians 4:8-12, NIV)

God’s plan is that every time we face these hardships, we learn to trust God a little bit more, so that every time the hardships press in, we can be a little stronger. God is our strength, not our own ability to carry the weight.

God doesn’t ask us to “work up” this hope – pretending we’re joyful when our whole world is collapsing around us. Rather, our hardships allow the Holy Spirit to work within us, developing joy and peace – teaching us to stop trusting in our own understanding and instead to trust that God is at work within and around our lives
-- quoted from Purpose Driven Life daily journal.

Lord, i believe in you... help me in my unbelief. My hope, my source of peace...

14 Times!

hAf u ever seen a dog hiccups? Well, if you have no such privilege, let me invite u over to my house & experience it for urself...

Laz nite, when hUgo hiccups again, i brot him to his water bowl. Filled it up for him to drink. & he licked it up in less than 1 minute! Naively thinking that he was still thirsty, i filled up the bowl again and gave it to him. He might have been extremely thirsty oR hungreeeeee - i dun know. All i know was he drank all of it - yup! all of e second helping of water!

When he was finally done, I was shocked to see how bloated his little tummy was! it was like a water balloon!

Small tummy can only take so much, u know?! In the next 2-3 hours, he pee-d 14 times! By the time he was ready for bed, his tummy balloon was deflated while his boss (me) was hot & tired (from cleaning the bathroom floor).

Mistake to let him drank so much? I dun know...

Here is a pict of him in a DOWN position - waiting for his breakie!

wAt shld i Do 1st?!

Shi locked hUGo back into his crate @ 9plus pm one nite...coz he was noty again. (attempted to bite her hair.) Think he juz could not resist. Maybe he tot it was fun or cute. Shi did not think so. So yar, into the crate he went.

@10pm sharp, i figured it was about time to bring hUGo to toilet. As i approached his crate, i heard him whining. & outta the crate came a totally wet puppy! He must have slept and somehow pee in his sleep. Waking up to discover that his den was dirty & wet! (FYI: Dogs like their den clean)

What should i do 1st?
- Clean his crate
- Clean him
- Clean the floor

Stress!

I put him back into the crate, took the crate to the bathroom, went back to mop the floor (with dettol). very quickly, i rushed back to the bathroom and scrub the crate...turn on the heater...bath him in hot, steaming water, washed the crate, put him back into the crate, rushed to the kitchen, wipe him dry (with difficulty - as he also tried to chew on towel), blow dry his floppy ears & body, let him ran about while i wiped the crate, dry the floor...

one really exciting "great Clean Out" session at 10pm Plus that nite.

but after the whole thingy, i'm quite happy. coz huGo is clean once again.

& i knew he "wet his bed" by mistake. that is the only time he wet his bed, btw.

Whew!

Shi: I think we should call him Hugo.
me: Why?
Shi: He looks very huGo-ish to me.
me: Huh?! What is the meaning of HuGO?!
Shi: Don't know. Just look HugO-ish to me loh.
me: Eh...the only time i ever heard Hugo is HUGO Boss loh.
(tried searching for e meaning of "Hugo" online myself but could not find any anything)
Shi: (after sometime) Oh hey! Hugo means Intelligent & Smart.
me: Oh...but still...hugO?? bit strange leh.

[few days later hoh...]
me: hey! I woke up today ..annd i think this puppy looks very "hUGo" to me afterall. Ok set. we will call him HuGO then.
shi: YEAH.HUGO is coming
[Yes, this conversation took place even before we bot him]

JoJO

On my way to church last sunday, I saw a couple flagging for a cab. The guy was carrying a cute little white doggy. Suddenly, I was reminded of that day when my twin and I flagged for cab, with my precious jojo wrapped in a towel, sleeping peacefully forever...

It was our last trip with her to the vet hospital. I recalled the exclaims of "Awwww!" and "oh dear" when we walked in with her in my arms. The nurse directed us to put her on this cold table. For the very last time, I patted & hugged her. "good bye jojo, i love u as much as u have loved me." ...& we left.

Suddenly on the bus, I felt like crying.

I wanna have a dog again.

My Love Languages

The Five Love Languages

My primary love language (now corrected) is probably
Physical Touch
with a secondary love language being
Acts of Service.

Complete set of results

Physical Touch: 11
Acts of Service: 6
Quality Time: 6
Receiving Gifts: 5
Words of Affirmation: 2

Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

Greatest BD gift of my life!

I've never felt so blessed on my birthday for a NooooooooOOOOOooOOOOong nooooNg time. I have so many birthday celebrations that i felt like a celebrity!!

one gave me a picture - and i melted when i first saw it. Best-est ah!

some gave me a tenderheart - reminded me that there are many tenderhearted pple in my life rite now.

some gave me an adidas jacket and world cup jersey (france) - never felt so loved at work!

even my nephew (7 yrs old) gave me something - a transformer - eh, guess coz i like toys bah. but i think he got it so that he can play with it whenever he comes over.

Yet, the greatest GIFT of all was received on my Birthday eve. I was told that my mama is now a child of GOD! got that? OK, I'll say it again. MY maMA is now a CHRISTIAN!!!!!! yes! Thank YOU LORD!

It actually took me awhile to realised that it is TRUE! My mama accepted Christ as her Savior and LORD during a Chinese Sunday Service (daisy's church). She responded to an altar call, walked to the alter (should be somewhere near the stage, i imagined) and prayed to have a Christ-Filled life. She has been attending cell group before that and still is actively going for cell.

Very so recently, my mum knocked her head against the wall and got a big barugu. During that Sunday service, she could not really hear part of the sermon. So she prayed and then after, she was able to hear again. God is an AMAZING God! AMEn? Amen!

Greatest gift so far hoh. I think you have have have to agree with me...

itz been a 365 daz

itz been 365 daz, 1 year exactly.

"bone bone, jojo! go fetch!" She would look at me thru her expectant & excited doggy eyes. When I threw the bone, she would make a dash for it, picked it up and brought it back to me.

but when I would not play with her, she would laze around & sleep. This was one of her sleeping position that was really cute & I miss it so much now...

Once, I actually "scooped" her up while she was in this sleeping position...gave her such a fright! heehee

Adult or student?

I stood at the door, facing this uncle, "eh, can I buy the entrance tickets now?"
"hm, the tour starts at only 6pm. You want to come back later?"
It's 5.55pm.
"eh...can I buy the tickets and pay first?"
"hmmmm, ok. You can pay first.".
I do believed that he has noticed that I have a friend with me, but he asked anyway, "eh one or two?"
"Two please", I smiled.
"Your friend. She is Adult?"
"She is a student. Does that fall under the category of Adult?"
"You? You Adult?"
"Yes, I'm Adult." Puzzled. I don't look Adult??
"Ok. So your friend Adult?"
"Yes, yes, she is a student...", paused...
then I added, "I am an Adult & she is a student."
& in my heart, i was like...what a strange conversation we're having!
Still hesitating, he asked again, "So you student?"
Was I not clear enuf?? Which part of my statement was I unclear?
Patiently, I replied, "I am an Adult and she IS a student."
"ok. So i will give you an adult ticket and ...and a child ticket." (sounded like a question to me)
"Great! Thanks..." (WHEW!)
He took out the adult ticket booklet. Stamped the date on 1 and tore it out. Nearly wanted to stamp the date on another adult ticket. Then there was a moment of hesitation, as if he was trying to recall our (strange) conversation. Took out another ticket booklet and stamped the date on it. Tore it out and passed both tickets to me.
Smiling, he said, "One adult and one child ticket, that will be $..."

eh..me Adult or me student ah? I'm nearly confused by him.
